  1. Create the community Name it after the association and choose how people join: invitation only, moderator approval, or open joins from a shared link.
  2. Invite residents Put the invite link in the newsletter, the annual-meeting slides, or the existing email list.

What boards ask

Does this need a budget line or a vote?

It costs nothing, so there is no contract to approve. One board member creates it and the association can stop using it at any time.

How do residents join?

By invite link, or by requesting access for a moderator to approve. You choose the policy when you create the community and can change it later.

Can people outside the association see posts?

No. Board posts are visible to approved members only. A resident can separately share one of their own items with a public link if they choose to.

Who moderates it?

The community owner and anyone they name as a moderator — typically two or three board members. Moderators approve join requests and remove posts.

Do residents have to download an app?

No. It runs in the browser, and residents sign in with an emailed link, a passkey, or Google — no passwords to reset.
